PRIVATE HOUSE AT SPETSES

The project aims at the maintenance and renovation of an existing two-storey house and the landscaping of its outdoor area, in Agia Marina of Spetses.

The goal is to highlight the special identity and aesthetic value of the building along with the satisfaction of the client’s needs. By studying the local characteristics and in accordance with the proportions and materials of the existing residence, spaces were created to accommodate outdoor day use functions, pergolas to create outdoor seating areas, a water tank to balance the greenery with the built-in outdoor space as well as for rainwater collection. Materials and techniques were used, utilizing elements and materials of the traditional physiognomy of the urban space and the natural environment of the area. This house will be surrounded by a new stone paddock to blend in with the neighbouring houses.
