ATHENS OLYMPIC TENNIS CENTRE UPGRADE
The Tennis Complex is located on the north-eastern side of the Olympic Athletic Center of Athens, on Amarissias Artemisos and Pittaras streets, within an area of of approximately 70 stremmas. The development concerns the renovation of the Tennis Complex with the aim of transforming the Complex to a modern pole of sport, culture and leisure, including the environmental and technological modernization and upgrading of all of the facility.
The complex consists of 16 courts, 14 of them to be auxiliary and training. The main court, with a capacity of 8,600 spectators, is surrounded by bleachers with light canopy. There is also a second smaller court on site, with 3,100 seats. All existing courts are to be upgraded, as well as new ones to be built, such as outdoor Padel Courts, Children’s Tennis Courts, Pickle Ball Courts and more. In addition, auxiliary buildings, such as the Info point and outdoor Canteens, as well as the Tennis Club House, a meeting place for athletes, coaches and visitors, and extensive landscaping are being constructed in the surrounding area.
